    OWNER

I’ve owned 5 Cities Swim School since June 2023, and am STOKED to pursue my passion after a decade in corporate offices. I swam competitively in college at Cal, won two NCAA Team Championships, and trained with over a dozen Olympians. I see swim lessons as a critical life safety skill — as well as a core confidence-builder for children. When I’m not at the swim school, I enjoy barbecuing, ocean swims, and walks with my wife.

    Fun fact about me:
I competed in the 2012 Olympic trials!

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

I first attended 5 Cities Swim School as a mom in the Baby & Me classes. Little did I know then that in March 2024, I’d join the swim school crew! I swam competitively in high school before heading to Stanford to pursue a degree in Marine Biogeochemistry. Nerd alert! I didn’t swim at Stanford, but I did spend a lot of time diving in the Monterey Bay and in much warmer tropical waters! Since then, I’ve mostly worked in education (K-12 and higher ed), and I’m excited to bring my passion for teaching and learning to the swim school. Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking with my family and frequenting our local farm stands.

Fun fact about me: In 2009, I sailed this ship from Tahiti to Hawaii!

    GENERAL MANAGER

Hi friends! I started coaching swimming and teaching lessons in 2012 and have been teaching at 5 Cities Swim School since 2022. I grew up with a pool in my backyard, swam competitively all through high school, and did a Masters program in college, so swimming has always been a fundamental part of my life. Besides teaching swim lessons, I also teach yoga! I love that both swimming and yoga are about finding a balance between effort and ease — both require strength and relaxation at the same time. When I’m not teaching, I love working in my garden and exploring the Central Coast with my fiancé and our dog.

Fun fact about me: I can do a headstand for over a minute!

I joined the instructional team at 5 Cities Swim School in 2024 and am thrilled to be here! I swam competitively in high school and junior college, played water polo in college as well as on the U.S. National B team, and I have coached high school swimming and water polo. I joined 5 Cities Swim with 3 years of prior swim instruction and infant aquatics experience. In other chapters of my life, I have also been a Certified Physical Therapist, and I owned and operated a fitness center in Los Osos for 25 years. In my free time, you’ll find me playing in the ocean with my dog Sweet Pea.

    Fun fact about me:
In 2024, I was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame!

I have been an instructor at 5 Cities Swim School since 2021. Before that, I taught swim lessons for more than 12 years all over Virginia and California, and I was a competitive swimmer between the ages of 4 and 18. Outside of the pool, I also manage F. McLintocks in Shell Beach, and I just graduated with my nursing degree! When I’m not at work or at school, you’ll find me taking my dog for long beach walks.

    Fun fact about me:
I am a certified SCUBA diver!

Hey everyone! I’ve been with 5 Cities Swim School since the spring of 2024. Previously, I worked as a lifeguard for a year at Knott’s Soak City! Besides teaching at the swim school, I also work for the County of SLO. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and mountain biking.

I joined the team at 5 Cities Swim School in 2024 with 5 years of prior swim instruction experience. I have previously taught in San Luis Obispo and at Jamie’s School of Fish. I swam competitively for all 4 years of high school and also played water polo. I played a year of college water polo at Cuesta College as well. Outside of the swim school, I enjoy making jewelry and cooking.

    Fun fact about me:
I can sing the 50 states in alphabetical order!

I originally taught at 5 Cities Swim School the summer after I graduated from high school, and now I’m back! Swimming has always been an important part of my life, since I grew up on Maui and learned to surf and swim in the ocean at a very young age. I was later a junior lifeguard, and I then swam and played water polo in high school. You won’t find me teaching my own classes at the swim school these days, but you’ll see me on deck and subbing classes a bunch. When I’m not at work, one of my favorite things to do is take my dogs for hikes.

Fun fact about me: If I like a song, I can memorize it after hearing it just once!

I have been with 5 Cities Swim School since the spring of 2024. Swimming was my sport as a kid, and I swam for the Santa Maria Swim Club all through elementary school. You’ll mostly see me at the front desk these days, but I also teach my own classes on the weekends. My superpower is helping shy and nervous kids feel more comfortable and confident in the water. Outside of the swim school, I also work as a traveling esthetician. Pick up one of my business cards at the swim school! When I’m not working, you’ll find me at the beach or spending time with my nieces and nephews.

Besides teaching at the swim school, I’m also pursuing a major in Nutrition and a minor in Ethnic Studies. In my (rare) free time, I enjoy watching the sunset with my friends.
