FAQs

  • Make-up classes are for sickness only. You can schedule an absence and select your make-up date in the Family Portal. Please note it takes ~24 hours to confirm your make-up eligibility.

  • Lessons are $25 per 30-minute class or $29 with our premium instructors. Our premium instructors are career swim instructors, with over a decade of experience each.

  • We bill families on the 1st of each month for the number of lessons in that month. For example, if you attend lessons twice a week on Mondays/Wednesdays, you’ll be billed for the number of Mondays and Wednesdays that fall in that month. In this example, it is typically 8 or 9 lessons per month.

  • 0-35 months: We have a double diapering policy for children under 3. The first diaper (directly on the child’s skin) is a reusable swim diaper. We recommend Finis brand, but there are others. Over the reusable diaper, a Happy Nappy is required. Both reusable swim diapers and Happy Nappy diapers are available for purchase at the front desk (at cost). You may, of course, also purchase them on your own. We recommend sizing up on the Happy Nappy diapers, as they run small.

3 years and older: swimsuit, goggles, towel

  • All lessons are 30 minutes long.

  • 90-92 degrees! The warmest indoor pool on the Central Coast!

  • Baby & Me (Goldfish): 6 to 1

Water Safety (Clownfish & Seahorse): 3 to 1

Stroke Development (Catfish, Flyfish, Barracuda, Dolphin): 4 to 1

  • You can opt for twice-a-week lessons on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. Once-a-week lessons are also available on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.

  • Our insurance provider requires all students to be members — otherwise we are a “public pool.” This is an industry standard across learn-to-swim schools in the United States.

  • Every child is different, but generally 2 lessons per week will lead to faster improvement, while 1 lesson per week will help with skill maintenance and steady improvement.

  • We’re under new ownership as of June 2023. With that, we listened to feedback and incorporated few changes, including:

Scheduling — We moved from pen & paper to online.

Billing — We moved away from purchasing lessons in "sessions" and moved to monthly billing for ongoing enrollment.

Membership — As of August 2023, we require a $50 annual membership per household.
